free guitar VST3 plugins for Linux & Windows
Hi, I'm Peter Semiletov. I've always had a tendency to write software for myself, and it turns out that my programs are useful for other people too - like the TEA text editor and the Drumlabooh drum machine plugin.
ROKER PACK is not an emulation of famous guitar pedals, but a homegrown set of effects that I personally use in my own music. Effects with their own unique sound.
A simple fuzz pedal with two parameters โ Level and Fuzz. The sound of the sixties.
Classic overdrive. Features Drive, Level, Low Cut and High Cut to shape your tone.
Heavy distortion with three controls: Gate, Drive, Level. Clean up unwanted noise with Gate, dial in the amount of grit with Drive, and set the final output volume with Level. Simple, powerful, and aggressive - from crunch to full metal.
A simple processor that adds analog warmth.
A simple and pleasant flanger.
Baxandall-style EQ, known from old-school gear with only bass and treble controls. Tembr is tuned specifically for guitar - won't work as well for other instruments.
Tuner with fretboard and string display - very visual, so you can clearly see which string you're tuning and which note it corresponds to.
Tuning Tips!
For the most stable operation of the tuner, please follow these recommendations:
Tune from the thinnest string (E4) to the thickest (E2) - this completely eliminates the influence of residual vibrations from thicker strings.
If you are tuning from thick to thin (E2 โ E4), mute the already tuned strings with your hand before tuning the next string. This prevents their residual vibrations from interfering with the analysis.
Regardless of your tuning direction, play a clean note without harmonics and avoid sharp attacks for best results.
Similar tuner for bass guitar. For best results, tune from the lowest string (E1) to the highest (G2).
ROKER PACK is a further development of my guitar effects, originally created as part of an old, unfinished DAW of my own, and later as a collection of LV2 effects called Bedroom Studio Plugins. Porting those plugins to the pure Steinberg SDK for VST3 led me to recreate them - along with some new effects - using the JUCE framework. To speed up development, I used DeepSeek. The development process was done with a guitar in hand, striving to achieve the right sound and precise performance.
